About me

Ed Eden-Rump

Primarily, I’m a scientist, a working analyst, and a father to three kids. I’ve been an amateur developer for about a decade, with experience in Java, Python and (yes) Fortran.

I work for AstraZeneca (who would want me to say that all the opinions on this website are mine!). If you want, you can find me on LinkedIn here.

Why this website?

A lot of things in JavaFX should be easy. Sometimes it’s the tutorials that just make it sound difficult, sometimes things just take a little bit of explaining.

This website started out as a resource for me to come back to so I have code snippets ready to use. With some gentle prodding from a friend, I’ve put it online so hopefully it can be useful for other people.
